Girl Friday: My Furry Friend

The star of this photo shoot is a furry bag that has got the most compliments out of the items in my wardrobe. I found it from Topshop last year, tried it on my shoulder in the shop, and couldn't let it go any more. In addition to the bag being practical, it's also comforting - on days when the spirits aren't the highest, I hold it close to me and it's like a teddybear.

Nothing else in my wardrobe has been this popular with strangers throughout the years as this big furry mustard bag. Modest Estonians, who aren't that used to giving compliments to strangers have asked me where I got such a cute bag from. In London - where it is common for a stranger to come up to you and ask where the bag is from - have asked me about this particular bag the most. The most recent case was in the luxury store Joseph where a sales assistant asked me where you can buy such bags. When I bought a scarf in the same colour from Accessories, the sales girl told me she understands why I'm buying that scarf.

This furry bag is also practical in a lot of ways - when you've been shopping and don't want to show your husband the things you bought - he won't anyway as the bag is super spacious and nowhere near transparent. This one time at the airport, when I was about to board the plane, I was told by airport staff that I have three bags instead of one. I replied - with a mischievous smile - that it was one big pocket. The airport worker smiled at me and let me board the plane.

The message of my post today is simple - if you see someone wearing something that tickles your fancy, regardless of whether you know the person or not - notice it and give them a compliment. Maybe it's your compliment that turns out to be the only ray of sunshine in their day. Meanwhile, stay healthy.

Kord märkis lennujaama kontrollis enne pardale minekut üks töötaja: "Teil on kahe koti asemel kolm."
